WRAP is Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production, a non-profit, independent organization dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing around the world. It provides a certification program primarily for the apparel, footwear, and other sewn products sectors. The WRAP certification process involves a facility-based audit conducted by an independent, third-party monitoring firm. The process typically includes a self-assessment by the facility, followed by an on-site audit to verify compliance with the 12 Principles. Based on the audit results, WRAP may award a certification at one of three levels: Platinum, Gold, or Silver. A WRAP certificate allows a facility to demonstrate its commitment to ethical production to multiple buyers, reducing the need for numerous audits.
